Senior System Administrator

Role Summary

In this role you will be responsible for providing a high-quality, active support to internal infrastructure and to our customers or partners, by handling and solving incidents and problems that might occur in the utilization of the platforms and the customized solutions we deliver.
You will collaborate with development and testing teams for handling complex technical issues and continuous integration, continuous deployment and application improvement in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through individual casework.
We expect from this role to offer guidance to the business on how to best build internal systems and infrastructure, balancing budgets, internal and client needs and industry trends.
The role also implies team-leading activities, with focus on managing workload and performance within the team, while also looking at career paths and improvements.

Skills and Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of operating systems, Linux & Windows;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Office suite, Ms Visio, Ms Project, Adobe);
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows installation and upgrades;
  • Strong Microsoft Exchange knowledge;
  • Good knowledge of Windows Server and MySQL;
  • Excellent knowledge in VMM;
  • Strong knowledge in data backup and recovery;
  • Knowledge in maintaining and administering development servers and ability to automate deployments;
  • Good knowledge in working with the Atlassian suite;
  • Knowledgeable about setting up and maintaining WIFI, LAN and VPN networks;
  • Good knowledge of printer installation and troubleshooting;
  • Good knowledge in working with ticketing systems;
  • Good understanding/knowledge of ITIL Framework;
  • Good to excellent understanding of service, incident, change and problem management processes;
  • Advanced level of writing and reading professional/business/technic English.
  • Experience in one more of the roles:
    • Network Engineer;
    • Technical Engineer;
    • DevOps.

It would be nice to have

  •  Be open to contribute to projects;
  • Drive or contribute to knowledge base in the area of expertise;
  • Drive or contribute to proactive proliferation of knowledge created externally and internally;
  • Deliver standard application/technology trainings and workshops.
