QA Automation Engineer - Selenium

Your duties as QA Automation Engineer: 

As an Automation Engineer, you create automated testing solutions for our E-commerce applications. You are in direct contact with the Product Owner, the Scrum Master, the development team, and other testers. You must quickly and accurately understand the requirements of our clients and QA processes. 

In your daily work, you inform and advise our clients, develop test plans, and automate these. For every release, you will extend the automation solution to execute release specific tests. You also ensure that all regression tests are successfully performed. 

It’s your responsibility to discuss the test results with the development team. In case of an issue, you help the development team to reproduce the issue. 

You play a crucial role for the development team to support the customer in release decisions. 

Your key responsibilities: 

  • Drive the test automation efforts on multiple projects 
  • Research and propose test automation solution for project needs 
  • Sustain and demonstrate the proposed solutions to stakeholders 
  • Elaborate test strategies for new projects, ensure best QA practices are kept 
  • Analyze, design, implement, execute, and maintain test automation solution 
  • Measure quality of applications against specific indicators 
  • Create testing reports based on the quality and performance of the tested applications 
  • Coordinate and communicate the test results with the development team and the client. 

Requirements: 

  • At least 3 years of experience in test automation 
  • Good knowledge of software testing methodology & techniques  
  • Knowledge and experience in test automatione.g., Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit 
  • Knowledge and experience with OOP principles (Java) and design patterns 
  • Knowledge and experience of REST protocols and API testing 
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD system 
  • Experience with performance/stress/load testing is a big advantage (JMeter/Gatling) 
  • Ability to understand and create test plans/test cases/testing reports 
  • Good understanding of the software development process, at least 2-3 years involvement in the software application development life cycle 
  • Ability to understand the business case and system requirements  
  • Good communication skills  
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Fluent in English 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience in E-Commerce solutions 
  • Experience in SAP Commerce Cloud (previously Hybris)   
  • Relevant Certifications (e.g. ISTQB® Certified Tester) and multi-year experience in software testing; 
  • Experience/certification on TOSCA testing platform; 
  • Ability to multitask; 
  • Have a positive “can do” attitude.
